The Approved Shipping & Logistics (ASL) Scheme  offers established ship agencies, ship management, international freight forwarders and international logistics operators encourages to use Singapore as a base for providing freight and logistics services. Approved companies under the Scheme enjoy a concessionary tax rate of not less than 10 per cent on approved income derived from the provision of freight and logistics services. The incentive is granted for 5 years.

To qualify, the applicant must have established operations with a good track record in the provision of freight and logistics services. The applicant must also have a concrete business plan demonstrating its commitment to expand its business in Singapore. It must:

• generate an incremental business spending in Singapore by the end of the incentive period,
• use Singapore for its logistics and freight management activities in the region.
