In this annual report, a sporting theme was adopted to depict the dynamism of the maritime sector and team effort between MPA and our partners to jointly develop and grow Maritime Singapore. It highlights the performance of the maritime sector, including the good growth in port and shipping activities as well as the total business spending of maritime companies in 2007.  The report also features major initiatives carried out to profile the industry these include the launch of Sea Asia and MaritimeONE, Singapore Maritime Week, the inaugural Singapore Maritime Lecture and the establishment of the historic Cooperative Mechanism for the Malacca and Singapore Straits.
