The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is seeking bright and dynamic individuals to be part of the national agency responsible for developing Singapore as a premier global hub port and international maritime centre, and for advancing Singapore’s strategic maritime interests. Apply for the MPA Scholarship. Enrich yourself with internships with MPA and the maritime industry prior to pursuing your studies at world-class universities. Undertake assignments and be exposed to MPA work locally and overseas before embarking on an exciting career at the centre of the vibrant maritime sector. Get a headstart with a MPA scholarship. 

Overseas Scholarship. For studies in prestigious overseas universities, the scholarship covers return economy air passage, tuition fees, compulsory fees, and settling in, book, computer and maintenance allowances.

For students pursuing a maritime degree, the scholarship will also cover the sailing and training for attainment of Class 1 Deck Officer Certificate of Competency (COC).

Local Scholarship. For studies in local universities, the scholarship covers all tuition and compulsory fees as well as computer and maintenance allowances.

Eligibility
Students with outstanding results in their GCE 'O' and 'A' Levels may apply. Undergraduates may also apply. Diploma holders with outstanding results will also be considered. A good track record of co-curricular activities will be an advantage. Applicants should be Singaporeans.

Bond Period
Successful applicants will be required to sign a bond to serve MPA upon completion of their studies for the following periods:

Overseas Scholarship
-    6 years for English speaking countries

Local Scholarship
-    4 years

Current undergraduates, if successful, will serve a pro-rated bond period based on the remaining years of study.

Closing Date
2 weeks after GCE 'O' and 'A' Level results are released.
