The Approved Shipping Logistics (ASL) scheme offers a competitive tax advantage to companies providing freight and logistics services from Singapore.
Companies under the Approved Shipping Logistics (ASL) scheme are eligible for a concessionary tax rate of not less than 10% on their incremental income derived from providing freight and logistics services.
This concession is for five years and can be renewed for another five subject to certain conditions.
The ASL scheme is for ship agencies, ship managers, international logistics operators and freight forwarders of shipping groups that provide freight and logistics services from Singapore.
Companies with a strong track record,demonstrable business plan and a commitment to using Singapore as their base for logistics and freight management activities may apply for ASL status.
