The Merchant Shipping Act is an Act of Parliament in Singapore that covers the registration of ships in Singapore, manning and crew matters as well as safety issues.
Note: Section 75(2) of the Merchant Shipping Act was amended on 1 April 2008 to take into account the replacement of the Workmen's Compensation Act (Cap. 354) by the Work Injury Compensation Act (Cap. 354)
