Recognising the importance of the integrity of companies operating in Singapore’s shipping industry, the Marine and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has implemented accreditation schemes for bunker suppliers and bunker surveying companies with the aim of recognising good practices and deterring malpractice in the bunker supply industry.
A company seeking accreditation must satisfy several stringent criteria and adhere to strict international standards and quality. Once the company is qualified under the schemes, the accreditation endorses its competence, credibility, independence and integrity in carrying out its activities
