GENERAL CHARGES

7.1

SUPPLY OF WATER FROM MAINS

 

(a)

Water supplied direct from mains to vessel shall be charged as follows :

A minimum charge will be imposed based on a minimum quantity per order of 20,000 litres.

All sales of water will be subject to a water conservation tax based on the rate imposed by the Public Utilities Board which may change from time to time.

Charges for item (a) are based on the PUB water tariff and the MPA reserves the right to revise the charges in the event of a revision made by PUB.

A vessel may request for more than one order during its stay in the port in which event, the total volume supplied to the vessel shall be used to determine the rate applicable.

 

7.2

CHARGES FOR WHARFAGE ON PRIVATELY-OPERATED WHARF

 

The wharfage charges payable on goods discharged from or loaded on
a vessel, or transferred between vessels, at any privately-operated wharf
(being goods that will be going into or that have come out of a facility for,
or as a result of, the following processes at that facility) are as follows:

The Authority may elect to collect any of the wharfage charges payable
under paragraphs 7.2(a) and (b) from — 
 (a) the owner or agent of the vessel;
 (b) the operator of the privately-operated wharf; or
 (c) the operator of the facility.

 

7.3

CHARGES FOR FIRE-FIGHTING, OIL SPILL RESPONSE AND ANTI-POLLUTION SERVICES

 

The charges for fire-fighting, oil spill response and anti-pollution services provided by the Authority to save life or property are as follows:

 

 

 

Rate per hour or part thereof from the time the vessel leaves the base to the time it returns to base and is no longer required

Rate per day for usage of services exceeding 8 hours in a day

(f)an administrative charge at 6% of the total charges payable to the Authority, for total charges up to $1 million, or such lower amount as may be determined by the Authority for total charges exceeding $1 million.

 

7.4

SPECIAL GARBAGE COLLECTION SERVICES

 

(a)

If any craft barge provided for the garbage disposal services requested is kept waiting alongside the ship or is kept waiting for the arrival of the ship before it can commence disposal operations, for every hour or part thereof that the barge is so kept waiting.
