Despite the many safety measures, incidents do happen at sea. Safety is a top priority for MPA, especially when concerning Singapore-registered ships and ships that ply within Singapore waters. MPA thus requires all incidents to be reported so that a proper investigation can be conducted, to continually improve shipping safety.
