MPA provides funding support for R&D and proof-of-concept for companies to commercialise maritime technologies.

MPA wants to ensure that smart ideas and clever inventions progress from the laboratory to the workplace.

Under its MINT Fund programme, MPA provides funding support for tertiary and research institutions (TRIs) and commercial companies involved in the development and testing of maritime innovations. It will also provide funding support for Singapore-registered companies to commercialise maritime technologies.

The journey from the research lab to commercialisation undergoes trials in the following programme.

Test-bedding, Research and Innovation Development for New-Maritime Technologies (TRIDENT) Platform

This platform supports companies in Singapore as well as the TRI to undertake maritime-related research & development (R&D) and then use Singapore's port and maritime facilities as test-beds for their innovations.
