The Finance Department handles all financial transactions in the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, ranging from port dues, shipping charges to investments. The different sections include Credit Management, Revenue, Payment, General Ledger, Treasury, Budget, Planning and Analysis and Financial Projects.

All customers are required to open a customer account with MPA before proceeding to engage any services. A credit term and credit limit will then be granted to each customer based on the credit risk assessment. Where necessary, a banker’s guarantee may be requested. Customers not granted credit limits are required to make upfront payment before services are rendered.
