Security-Related Information

Security-Related Incident Reports

  • Owners and managers are reminded that any marine security-related incidents involving Singapore-registered vessels should be reported to MPA. The reporting should be made by completing the 'Security Incident Form'. More details can be found in Shipping Circular No. 6 of 2010 (Annex A). The 'Security Incident Form' can also be obtained from the circular.

UN Sanctions

  • Owners and managers of Singapore-flagged vessels are advised to ensure that operations in the shipping, port and marine sector of Singapore do not contravene sanctions imposed by the United Nations Security Council. An indicative list of unilateral sanctions or embargoes may be found at the Singapore Customs’ website. You may also refer to the United Nations Security Council website for information on the sanctions regimes. Please click here for the full text of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions. You may wish to click here for the Consolidated Sanctions List of all individuals and entities subject to sanctions measures imposed by the United Nations Security Council. Please note that the list is not exhaustive, and we will like to remind owners and managers of Singapore-flagged vessels to keep updated on the relevant sanction regimes.
