Singapore-Registered Vessel Boarded by Unidentified Men in the Indian Ocean

A Singapore-registered container vessel, "Kota Wajar", was boarded by unidentified men north of the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean (position Lat 01°33'S Long 54°52'E) on 15 October 2009 at about 1012hrs (Singapore time).
"Kota Wajar" was on her way from Singapore to Mombasa, Kenya. There are 21 crew on board the vessel, of which two are Singapore Permanent Residents.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore is currently working with the ship owner and relevant agencies.
