Voluntary Pilotage Services in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore
The Voluntary Pilotage Services in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore shall be in accordance with United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), 1982 and subject to the sovereignty of each Littoral State.
The Voluntary Pilotage Services (VPS) in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore (SOMS) will be implemented in the spirit of cooperation among the littoral States.
