MPA offers scholarships to ‘A’ level students and merit diploma holders.

Who we are looking for

  • ‘A’ level students with an excellent academic track record
  • Students with a merit diploma in a maritime discipline will also be considered

What we offer

  • Overseas scholarship with a bond of 6 years.
  • Local scholarship with a bond of 4 years.

What you can expect as an MPA scholar

Expenses covered:

  • Full tuition fees
  • A monthly allowance
  • Annual textbook allowance
  • PC allowance
  • Air ticket & warm clothing reimbursement (for overseas study)

You will have the opportunity to intern at MPA before and during your studies, where you get to gain firsthand experience of the maritime business and how it operates.

To help you understand the maritime industry better, we will also be updating you on the latest developments in the industry as well as within MPA during your studies.

Upon joining us after your studies, you will be given exposure to different areas of work through a series of planned postings and rotations.

You will have plenty of opportunities to network and build contacts across the maritime industry as you work with us.

How to apply

Our scholarship programme is listed on BrightSparks (online portal for Singapore scholarship providers). The scholarship offer period typically lasts for 2 weeks, after your ‘A’ level results are released.

What to expect after you apply

We will contact you within 2 weeks after the application closing date if you are shortlisted.

In addition to the usual interviews, there will be tests on writing ability, thinking and presentation skills,  as well as leadership and creativity.
