A When requesting for immigration clearance, you should give the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority details of your crew and passengers who have a contact or travel history related to Mexico over the past seven days.
A The Home Quarantine Order applies to seafarers with a travel history to Mexico. They will be given the option of coming ashore and be quarantined for a week, or staying onboard.
A Once a passenger or crew is detected with temperature above 38 degrees Celsius, he/she will be directed to a nurse station. The nurse will issue the person with a face mask, re-take his/her temperature and check his/her travel and contact history. The passenger or crew is then required to complete a Health Declaration Form. If fever is confirmed, the person will be isolated and a medical doctor alerted.
A There is a Port Health Clearance procedure for all vessels arriving at Singapore. Ships are required to report the occurrence of illness or unwell persons on board the ship to the National Environment Agency’s Port Health Office. This includes passengers and crew who have fever (temperature of 38 degrees celsius or higher) for more than 48 hours. The Port Health Office will direct the ship to a quarantine anchorage for follow-up action.
A All crew members are required to declare their contact and travel history during the immigration clearance process. If anyone has been in contact with an infected person or has a travel history related to Mexico during the past seven days, he/she will given the option of coming ashore and be quarantined for a week, or return to his ship.
A As a preventive measure, staff at checkpoints will be provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required. They will also undergo daily temperature screening.
A The thermal scanners are deployed at ferry terminals as they have high passenger traffic.
