ABOUT HOST PORT AUTHORITY

The Osaka Ports and Harbors Bureau was established by integrating the ports and harbors bureaus of Osaka City and of Osaka Prefecture in 2020 and we undertake the nine ports including the Port of Osaka.
The Port of Osaka has long flourished as a commercial port since ancient times, and today, as a hub for imports and exports, it supports the economic and industrial activities of the vast surrounding region and the lives of its approximately 21 million citizens.
With a wide range of logistics facilities, including container and ferry terminals, the Port of Osaka is a leading logistics center in western Japan.
In addition, various facilities such as a passenger terminal for cruise ships, large green areas, cultural and recreational facilities, Universal Studios Japan, which was attracted by the redevelopment of the old port area, and the world's largest aquarium have been fascinating many visitors. Moreover, the World Expo in 2025 is scheduled to be held on a reclaimed land called Yumeshima in the Port of Osaka from April 13 to October 13 and we expect approximately 28.2 million visitors from Japan and abroad.
