Participants of the 2nd Maritime Public Leaders' Programme,
Ladies and Gentlemen
Good afternoon.
Today marks the end of the 2nd Maritime Public Leaders' Programme (MPLP). I would like to thank all participants for taking part in the MPLP and express our appreciation to NTU and MFA for conducting and supporting the programme. Without you, the MPLP would not have been such a success.
The MPLP was conceived to provide a platform for leaders from maritime administrations and industry representatives from across the world to interact and exchange ideas with each other. With 11 nations and 12 organisations represented here, I trust that there have been many in-depth discussions as well as sharing of experiences and best practices throughout the course of the programme. Together with the lectures and site visits, I hope that the MPLP has been an enriching and fruitful learning experience for all of you.
Besides the learning experience, the MPLP provides a good opportunity to foster tighter networks and relationships among the global maritime community. After today, I hope that you will continue to maintain the strong relations cultivated among your fellow MPLP participants. This serves as a starting point for future collaborations on maritime issues of shared interest and the forging of stronger working relations.
Lastly, we value your constructive feedback on the MPLP. Please share with us your comments, queries, and thoughts on how this programme can be better tailored to your needs. Your feedback will undoubtedly be useful in enhancing future runs of the MPLP.
I look forward to meeting all of you again at future international or regional maritime fora, and the participation of your organisations in future runs of the MPLP. On this note, I hope you have enjoyed your time in Singapore. I wish you a safe journey home, and all the best in your future endeavours.
Thank you.
