The drill-ship, "Deepsea Ice" which ran aground on 25 Sep, off Malang Papan, south-east of Pulau Ubin was successfully re-floated at 9.30 am today.

The ship was lightened by removing the weights, equipment and water ballast onboard. It was re-floated with the assistance of six tug boats and towed to an anchorage off Changi. There was no disruption to shipping traffic.
