A barge, Marco Polo 802, has grounded off Tanjong Beach, Sentosa, this morning.

2.    There are no reports of damages, injuries or pollution. Tugboats activated by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) are enroute to tow the barge out to sea. The barge, which is carrying containers, remains stable.

3.    There is no impact to navigational safety.

4.    The beach remains open to the public. MPA and Sentosa Development Corporation are working with the relevant agencies to ensure minimal disruption.

5.    MPA is investigating the incident.
