The work-boat (Noella), which sank after a collision within Singapore Territorial Waters with a composite unit of a tug (Wei Yuan I) and barge (Soon Yuan) west of Pulau Tekong at 0630hrs on 7 Apr 02 (Sunday), was recovered by salvage personnel at about 2240hrs on the same day.

The bodies of the two missing persons reported earlier were found in the sunken craft. The Police Coast Guard (PCG) has brought the bodies back to Singapore.

There was no report of any oil spill. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is investigating the incident.
