Singapore Maritime Administrators’ Forum

In conjunction with the 11th Singapore Maritime Week, MPA organised the inaugural Singapore Maritime Administrators’ Forum (SMAF) on 19 April 2016. In support of the IMO 2016 theme of “Shipping: Indispensable to the World”, this biennial thought leadership forum aimed to highlight the importance of shipping and to raise awareness of shipping’s role in supporting and sustaining today’s global economy. This by-invitation only forum comprised two sessions: (i) Indispensable Shipping: Country Maritime Initiatives and (ii) Indispensable Shipping: Meeting the Regulatory Requirements. The next SMAF is planned for April 2018.
